Oh Clyde

I’ll never forget little Clyde; he arrived too soon. I know Clyde’s mom, Jeanine, and my friends and I were just talking about her upcoming baby shower. I wasn’t sure when Jeanine was due, but I knew that she wasn’t close to her due date quite yet. So a few days after discussing her baby shower, I went to work (as many of you know, I’m an Labor and Delivery nurse) and was asked to give a break to another nurse who just had a delivery. I walked into the delivery room, and there was Jeanine, no longer pregnant, and my jaw dropped. Her little baby boy arrived 10 weeks early and was in the NICU, but he was doing well and as cute as a button. I was so happy when she called and asked me if I could take pictures of Clyde when he came home from the hospital. He was still so tiny, like a baby doll. I can’t wait to watch him grow.
