I know I’m late to the celebration, but I’ve been a nurse for 21 years and the appreciation and gifts I’ve received from my employer for the past several years have become very sad and embarrasing (on their part). This year I received a slushie, yep, that’s it. I work overtime, serve on two committees and I’m the shift charge almost every day I work, and I felt less than appreciated.
