Boys and Trucks { Windsor | Santa Rosa Child | Lifestyle Photographer }

This truck has been resurrected from the died!  Can it really be the first truck we ever bought?  Oh, it is.  When my oldest, who is 9 now, was just a wee toddler, my husband was dead set on turning her into his little tomboy.  He bought this truck for her so she could fill it with dirt, rocks, and all kinds of other things little ones find themselves running through their tiny fingers.  She got good use out of this sturdy truck, then passed it down to her younger sister who loved the truck to pieces too.  For the past 5 years or so, this poor truck has been spending it’s days lonely in the toy box in our backyard.  It has been passed up for basketballs, baseball bats, jump ropes, and hula hoops.  But this weekend while Quinn was digging through the outside toy box he found the old red truck.  It’s scuffed and dusty, but he didn’t care at all, it was love at first sight.  He took his truck everywhere all weekend long.  Of course, as soon as my 9 year-old saw it, she was like “Hey, that’s my truck!”  And my 7 year-old followed him around waiting for her turn to play.  We had to shoo them away and remind them this truck hasn’t been interesting to them in years and they only reason they want it now is because their little brother was playing with it.  I guess that’s how it guess with siblings.

Oh, and I had to add this one of him and his helicopter, he never puts it down.  Trucks and helicopters…such a boy!
